Dr. Flavia Vitale Appointment to Assistant Professor

CNT Co-Director Dr. Flavia Vitale has been appointed as Assistant Professor within the Department of Neurology and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) at The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Vitale’s research is focused on nanofabrication and development of novel bioelectronic devices for recording and neuromodulation in the brain.

Dr. Kate Davis Awarded 2018 Dreifuss-Penry Epilepsy Award

Dr. Kathryn Davis, co-director of the CNT was awarded the Dreifuss-Penry Epilepsy Award at the 2018 American Academy of Neurology’s Annual Meeting. The award recognizes physician-scientists in the early stages of their career for their contribution to epilepsy research.

Flavia Vitale: Co-chair, Organizer, Presenter 2017 Society for Neuroscience Meeting

Flavia Vitale and Dr. Samantha Santacruz (UC Berkeley) organized and co-chaired a Mini-symposium on Innovative Approaches for Multimodal Neural Interfaces at the 2017 Society for Neuroscience Meeting in Washington DC. Flavia also presented her talk entitled, “Fluidic microdrives for minimal invasive implantation of flexible neural microelectrodes.”
